2004 Cornerstone Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley - Six Half Bottles
Cornerstone Cellars Napa Cabernet Sauvignon - Review from the Wine Spectator, "Intense and concentrated, with firm, spicy currant, wild berry, black cherry and hints of sage and herb. Focused, picking up a minerally, pebbly, loamy earth edge on the finish, it combines power with persistence."

2009 Grand-Puy Lacoste Bordeaux, Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Robert Parker, Wine Advocate February 2012, 95 rating
Performing better from bottle than it did from cask (and comparable to their wines 2005, 2000, 1990 and 1982), this is a great classic from Xavier Borie's estate situated on the back roads west of the
town of Pauillac. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by hints of spring flowers, crushed rocks, black currants, cedar and earth/underbrush. Precise and elegant as well as backward and foreboding,
it should put on weight in the bottle and evolve for two decades. Very concentrated as well as velvety-textured, it is a beauty of finesse, balance, purity and nobility. It will benefit from 5-7 more
years of bottle age.

1982 Penfolds Grange Bin 95 Shiraz, Australia
Robert Parker 97
Winemaker notes: Very deep, rich brick red. Very ripe, sweet plum jam aromas. Vanilla and mint characters with a hint of leafiness. Masses of delicious, super-fleshy fruit throughout, very elegant and supple but undeniably a full-bodied wine with an assertive tannin finish.

2008 Nemesis Linne Calodo Cellars, Paso Robles, Central Coast
92-94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The dense purple 2008 Nemesis (always the heaviest in Syrah, with 85% Syrah and the rest Grenache and Mourvedre) is still youthful and intense, with plenty of body and hints of asphalt, graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit, with some licorice and white chocolate. It is deep, full-bodied, rich, and should prove to be one of the longest lived wines of the 2008s from Trevisan, lasting well past a decade.

1985 Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Pauillac, France
Wine Spectator 96
Still incredibly youthful. Exhibits fabulous aromas of fresh fruit, minerals and chocolate with a hint of spice. Full-bodied and concentrated, with loads of fruit and tannins. Better after 2000.”
Robert Parker 90
..exhibits a deep ruby color, and a ripe, oaky, curranty bouquet with a trace of herbaceousness. This lovely wine is rich, elegant, supple, and not dissimilar from the style of the 1979 and 1981...”

2002 Sine Qua Non whisperin’ e, Chardonnay – Roussanne – Viognier blend , Central Coast CA
95 Points The Wine Advocate
"The 2002 Proprietary White called Whisperin’ E is a concoction of 50% Roussanne, 31% Viognier, and 19% Chardonnay, most from the Alban Vineyard with a tiny dollop of Stolpman fruit. There are 524 cases of this light gold-colored 2002. A superb perfume of smoky hazelnuts intermixed with exotic lychee, honeysuckle, peach, and beeswax notes is followed by a full-bodied wine with a multilayered texture that pulls back in the finish to reveal surprising uplift, acidity, and lightness ... an amazing feat given a wine of this power, dimension, and intensity. It should drink well for another 5-7 years. "

1996 Abreu Cabernet Madrona Ranch
The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch reveals a blueberry/blackberry, creme de cassis character with smoky oak, new saddle leather, licorice, dried herbs, and mineral scents. Expansive, with terrific intensity, purity, and overall symmetry, it has noticeable tannin in the finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2003-2030." R. Parker, 98 pts.

1996 Screaming Eagle Cabernet
Robert Parker 98 Points
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. A wine that is only now beginning to shed its tannin, the 2006 stands out for its vibrancy and energy. All of the classic Screaming Eagle notes are in the glass, but with a little more edge and cut than in most vintages. Sweet red berries, crushed rocks, flowers and spice box are alive in the glass. Over time, hints of sage, mint rosemary and pencil shavings add complexity. The 2006 is a decidedly cool-weather wine with less opulence than either the 2007 or 2009, but it is absolutely singing today. Another few years will only help the wine come together even more fully, but it is impossible to miss the 2006’s utterly breathtaking beauty. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026.
